Independent, High‑Quality Assessments for Family Courts
Bright Family Pathways Ltd provides independent, high‑quality social work assessments for family courts, including Section 7 reports, parenting capacity assessments, and risk assessments. We also undertake direct work with children to ascertain their wishes and feelings and present these clearly and appropriately to inform the court’s decision‑making.
All assessments are evidence‑based, analytical, and completed in accordance with statutory guidance, supporting informed judicial decision‑making and promoting the welfare of children and families.

Our Ethos
Our work is delivered by highly qualified social work practitioners who prioritise accuracy, analytical depth, and person‑centred practice. We take care to ensure that assessments and interventions are completed with integrity, independence, and professional rigour.
We are committed to child‑focused practice, recognising the importance of understanding each child’s lived experience, wishes, and feelings within the context of their family circumstances. Our work is informed by evidence‑based frameworks, professional judgement, and statutory guidance, ensuring that analysis is balanced, transparent, and proportionate.
Bright Family Pathways Ltd values reflective practice and ethical decision‑making. We recognise the significant impact that social work assessments and supervised contact arrangements can have on children and families, and we approach all work with care, clarity, and respect for those involved.
Our Purpose and Values
Bright Family Pathways Ltd was developed in response to the need for social work assessments that are both child‑focused and analytically robust, supporting fair and informed judicial decision‑making. Our practice is underpinned by the professional ethics and values of Social Work England, including independence, integrity, and respect for the child’s lived experience.
Alongside assessment work, Bright Family Pathways Ltd provides supervised contact services and child‑focused direct work, recognising the importance of safe, structured, and purposeful engagement with children and families. Supervised contact is delivered in a calm, neutral, and professionally boundaried manner, supporting children’s welfare while maintaining appropriate oversight where concerns or complexity have been identified.
Across all areas of our work, we place importance on careful listening, balanced analysis, and respectful engagement. We recognise the potential impact that social work involvement can have on children and families and approach our role with sensitivity, professionalism, and a clear sense of responsibility.
Our purpose remains to support clarity, understanding, and fair outcomes through ethical, independent social work practice.

Evidence-Based Assessments
Our assessments are grounded in evidence‑based social work practice, drawing on recognised research, professional frameworks, and established assessment models. This ensures that our work is structured, balanced, and informed by best practice rather than personal opinion.
